Wednesday, October 2, 2002, the Information Resources and Technology
(IRT) department at Drexel University sponsored a "WebCT
Showcase." The purpose of this event is to showcase faculty
use of the WebCT course management system in their courses.
Presentations
from Drexel University and Neumann College faculty covered the
pedagogical development and delivery of web-supported, web-enhanced,
and web-based courses. Each presentation also discussed the student
response to their offerings, comparisons to traditional face-to-face
delivery and future plans.
WebCT
is being used in over 300 courses on campus, and faculty are taking
interesting and creative advantage of the tool to enhance their
courses.
